100% Grenache. A blend of MAHA and Kirk-Landry Grenache creates a complex wine from two very different sites. The MAHA’s south facing slopes and limestone soils provide bright red fruits filled with tension and energy, where the north facing clay soils of Kirk-Landry provide a darker fruit profile packed with spice and texture. Together, they create a deliciously complex wine.
A vibrant ruby red color lead to aromas of orange peel, strawberries, toasted levain, camphor, and white pepper. The palate is focused and expansive, full of fruit and umami that conjure thoughts of Bing cherry, hibiscus tea, wet stones and West Paso botanicals. Finishing with good length and structure, it will pair well with grilled veggies, lamb chops with salsa verde, or whole grilled fish. Drink 2024-2034
"The 2022 Garnacha is impossible to ignore, waiting up with dark florals and exotic spice unveiling blood orange and crushed blackberries. Silky, with masses of ripe red and blueberry fruits that swirl throughout. Tactile mineral tones add a steady inner tension as the 2022 finishes with edgy tannins and a pleasantly bitter tinge of black licorice. A mixture of power and finesse makes the Garnacha a total pleasure to taste."
